William Lawson

William Lawson was born February 28, 1945. He departed this life Saturday, December 9, 2023. The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, West Point. Interment in Sunny Slope Cemetery, West Point. The viewing will be 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the church.

He was preceded in death by in death by his mother, Sarah Lawson; father, Philip Jones; his brother, Leon; his twin brother, Robert and his daughter, Mary Prince.

He is survived by three daughters, Kathy Harrison, Jackie Lay and De' Nova; one son, William Lawson Jr.; two step children, Thomas Lawson (Ann) and Kizzey Wingfield; 19 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; one great great grandson a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and a devoted friend, the mother of his children, Catherine Gresham.
