Ruth Allgood

Ruth Virginia Allgood was born December 13, 1929 in Goochland. She transitioned from labor to reward on Monday, October 20, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Beatrice Giles Smith; her husband, Leroy C. Allgood Sr.; her daughter, Beverly Simmons and her sister, Sarah R. Cummings.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Allgood of Ruther Glen; her son, Leroy C. Allgood Jr. and his wife, Doris of Glen Allen as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

The viewing will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2025 at First Baptist Church Hockley. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the church. Interment in the church cemetery.
