Philip Ellis

Philip Alphonso Ellis entered his eternal rest on Monday, September 14, 2026. He was born to the late James A. Ellis and Sadie Hundley Ellis on April 29, 1952 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

Philip leaves to cherish his memory, his brothers, Edward Ellis and spouse Gail, Lester "Doc" Ellis and spouse Maria; his twin sister, Phyllis Curtis; nephews, Steve Ellis and partner Cheryl, Ronald Ellis, Lewis Ellis and partner Dominique, Jason Brokenborough and partner Zatara, Montre Stephen McCoy Hawkins, Marcus Ellis and Tyler Ellis; nieces, Nicole Ellis and spouse Yolanda, Laura Bryant, Allison Parks-Ellis, Amanda Parks and Chrys'tale C. Hawkins; his significant other, Taren Quillen, with whom he had a long and loving relationship; other relatives and friends, Maliah Bryant, Jalen Wynn, Lailoni Fells, James Brokenborough, Alycia Brokenborough, Isabella Viruet and Ayven Corell; his "little nurse" five year old great niece, Lailoni, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Center Cross Church of God 141 Byrds Bridge Road, Center Cross, Virginia.
