Pauline Jones

Pauline Gallop Jones was born August 12, 1926 in Harbinger, North Carolina. She departed this life on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frissell W. Jones; daughter, Fern B. Jones and son, Josiah S. Jones.

She is survived by son L. Wagner Jones of Greensboro, N.C.; daughter, Pamela J. Banks (Kenneth) of Durham, N.C.; son, Abraham Jones of Raleigh N.C.; Ruth Jones Pegram (Johnnie) of Browns Summit, N.C.; son, Peter Jones of Pittsboro, N.C.; daughter-in-law, Debra W. Jones of Greensboro, N.C.; Canadian son, Wayne Johnson (Gloria) of Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren, Carly Jones of Raleigh, N.C., Elizabeth Jones of Durham, N.C., Marcus Banks of Charlotte, N.C. Darrin Banks of Los Angeles, Ca.; sister, Pocahontas Gallop Ivey of Moyock, N.C. and brother, Wilbert Gallop  (Clara) of August, Ga. and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Thursday, August 31, 2023 a viewing will be 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the service at 2:00 p.m., at Westover Church Theatre 505 Muirs Chapel Road, Greensboro, N.C.

Saturday, September 2, 2023 a viewing will be at 12:00 p.m. at J.K. Redmond Funeral Home, Shacklefords, Va. followed by interment in First Baptist Church Hockley Cemetery, Shacklefords, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, a charitable donation to the following organizations: Child Evangelism, Youth for Christ, Wycliffe Bible Association and the UNC TEACCH Autism Programs.
