Mariah Griffin

Mariah Ethel Iverson Griffin entered into eternal rest and went home to Glory on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 in Willingboro, New Jersey. She was born January 13, 1927 in Hartfield, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Mary Cooke Iverson and James Iverson; She was one of four children from that union. 

She was preceded in death by her siblings: James Iverson, Elizabeth Iverson and Helen Iverson Wake.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Griffin of Hartfield, Virginia for 45 years.

Those she leaves to cherish her memory are her daughter, Edna Malinda Iverson Long (Leonard Sr.); two sons, Joseph Leon Griffin (Sarah) and James Griffin (Kathy); three grandchildren, Markus Boston, Leonard long Jr. and Robert Long Sr.; six great grandchildren, Mahogany Boston, Robert Long Jr., Raven long, Raina Long, Raana long and Quincy Long; one brother-in-law, Alvin Wake Sr. and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Friday, November 24, 2023 a visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Baptist Church in Camden, New Jersey. Sunday, November 26, 2023 a visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. at Grafton Baptist Church, Hartfield, Virginia. Interment in the church cemetery.
