Madeline Edwards

Madeline Billups Edwards born October 3, 1925, died peacefully on August 6, 2022 in her residence in West Point, Virginia. Madeline was born to the late Lizzy and Hammy Billups. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sterling Edwards Jr. and siblings.

She joined Union Prospect Baptist Church at an early age. She was involved in various aspects of the church. Madeline worked faithfully for Master Cleaner and Ft. Eustis for a number of years.

She leaves to cherish her memory her one daughter, Hattie Rowe; one granddaughter, Phyllis Gresham (Leon) and one grandson, Kevin Rowe (Jennifer). She also leaves three great grandchildren, Tatyana Gresham, Brittany Shields and Darius Rowe. She also leaves great great grandchildren, Zayden, Bella, Omega and Karter. Madeline also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.

The viewing will be 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Union Prospect Baptist Church, Cologne. Interment in the church cemetery.
