James Carter

James Carter was born April 15, 1940. He departed this life on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 in St. Stephen, South Carolina.

He leaves to cherish loving memories his wife of 59 years, Gloria Singletary Carter; daughter, Diana Lynn (Curtis B.) Reid; two grandchildren, Justin Reid and Devon Reid; a special niece, Pansy S. Theirse and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The viewing will be 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with the service at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church 18 S. Main Street Greeleyville, South Carolina.

The interment will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2023 at the Berea Cemetery, Gloucester, with military honors.

Scott's Mortuary of Moncks Corner, South Carolina and J.K. Redmond Funeral Home are assisting the Carter family.
