George E. Taliaferro

George Elliot Taliaferro was born May 1, 1929. He departed this life Thursday, January 21, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Mozelle Taliaferro; siblings, John Taliaferro Jr., Estelle Taliaferro, Ellis Taliaferro, Lenora Baptist-Small and James Taliaferro. His youngest brother, Ivory Taliaferro (Nora) followed him in death two days later.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Taliaferro; son, Zachary Taliaferro; daughter, Vanessa Taliaferro-Jones; granddaughter Tyler Jones; grandson, Nile Jones; son-in-law, Arnaldo Jones; three sisters, Margaret Hoffman, Gloria Lumford and Plunard Robinson (Mason) and sisters-in-law, Maudestein (John Jr.) and Amy (Ellis).

 The viewing will be 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and the service 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the funeral home. The interment will follow in First Baptist Church Hockley Cemetery.
