George Cooke Sr.

George (Henry) Cooke Sr. was the second child born of the martial union of Amos Cooke and Lucille Kemp Cooke. He departed this life on Sunday, March 3, 2024. 

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as siblings: Ollie Coleman, Maryann Curtis, Shirley Banks and John Kemp.

George leaves to mourn his children George Jr., Alysia Valentine (Anthony); sister, Mary Catherine Lemon; brother, Thomas Cooke (Shirley); sister, Brenda; grandchildren, Spencer Young;  Serina Hart, Alexander Harrison and Anthony Jr. and a host of nieces and nephews and his best friend in Saluda, Robert Allen.

A funeral service was conducted Saturday, March 16, 2024  at Mount Calvary Baptist Church 127 Walnut Avenue, Ardmore, Pennsylvania. A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Antioch Baptist Church, Saluda, Virginia. Interment in the church cemetery.
