Bessie Cauthorne

Bessie Lenora Cauthorne was born on August 15, 1943. She peacefully transitioned from labor to eternal reward on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

A gifted and devoted pianist , Bessie faithfully shared her musical talents for more than 70 years, beginning at the age of 13. She became well known throughout the county and many surrounding communities, touching countless lives through her ministry of music.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, John; children, Janice, Jennifer and Jamie and a host of other relatives and friends.

The viewing will be 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Friday, July 10, 2026 at the funeral home.

The funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Union Shiloh Baptist Church, Laneview.

The interment will be in the Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery, Center Cross. The repast will be in the Macedonia Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, Center Cross.
