Anthony Billups

Anthony Demoris Billups departed this Earth peacefully at his home on February 21, 2024. His life began on October 28, 1961. He was a proud graduate of King and Queen Central High School. Anthony was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and a faithful NASCAR watcher. He worked at the Virginia Logging Company in West Point for over 20 years. He was quiet and passionate. And, he loved outdoors; especially on his riding lawnmower. Anthony could be found listening to music and dancing to his favorite songs.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret E. Billups; his wife, Vertanna Billups; his children, Latia Matthews, Lareshia Matthews and Laraya Billups; his devoted aunts and uncles Agnes and Melvin Jackson, Bertanna Holmes, Earl Billups and John Billups; his grandchildren, Mekhi and Myles Brown and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, February 26, 2024 at the funeral home. Interment in Union Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery, Cologne. The viewing will be one hour prior to the service.
